About EURO PAT

We are a small company, based in Southport, Merseyside that specialise in Portable Appliance Testing in the commercial and public sectors. We routinely cover the whole of the North West.

Why EURO PAT?

Specialised PAT company.

Portable Appliance Testing is what we do. It is not a sideline to other interests i.e. selling electrical or PAT testing equipment and supplies.

We want to develop long term working relationships with you and manage all of your PAT needs.

We follow the IEE Codes of Practice for In Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment and all our testers are trained to the C&G standard. As you would expect, we have full insurance cover.

We use the latest technology for our testing equipment and software but only where we feel it will genuinely benefit the clients.

Flexible working

We understand that, first and foremost, you have a business to run. EURO PAT will therefore do everything possible to fit around your needs and cause minimum disruption.

This could, for instance, be after hours / weekend working if that is more suitable. Alternatively you may have particular demands about how the testing process takes place. Whatever, we will work with you to find the best approach.

Competitive pricing

Our aim is to offer excellent value for money and to be competitive with companies offering a similar level of service.

There do appear to be companies that offer ridiculous rates per appliance to get attention. Upon closer inspection these are often only valid for organisations with 1000s of appliances to test or are based on unrealistic situations i.e. all appliances are situated in one room. Often, there are also additional charges for replacing fuses and plugs or exorbitant mileage rates or out of hours premiums.

There is also the danger that the testing process may be rushed through in a bid to get through as many as possible.

We base our pricing on the amount of appliances that require testing and the situation. As a rule, we charge on a ‘per appliance’ basis and operate an ‘all inclusive’ service (please see below)

All inclusive service

There are no hidden extras. Included in the service are:-

• Minor repairs. Typically, this will include

  • Re terminations of plug top cables
  • Replacement of standard plug tops
  • Replacement of fuses

• All labeling

• Client packs

  All clients receive a quality 5 year folder containing

•  PAT test summary sheet outlining details of the site, no of appliances, pass fail ratio and advice / recommendations.
•  Certificates for each appliance including pass / fail status, detailed test results and comments / actions undertaken.
•  Asset register listing each appliance with a description, its location and retest recommendations
•  Fail Register – detailing all of the failed appliances, reasons and action taken
•  Repair register – detailing any item requiring repair and action.

Also included is a Portable Appliance Testing information section outlining H&S regulations & guidelines, recommended testing schedules and processes.

We can also provide these results in an electronic format, if required.

• Record Keeping

  EURO PAT will store all of the records for a minimum of 5 years with free reprints available if required.

• Schedule management

  EURO PAT do not just test and disappear. We want to help you manage your long term inspection and testing. Having discussed your ongoing testing schedules we will issue reminders prior to the retest dates so that you can keep on top of your testing schedule.
